With the introduction of the Franchise Act and all the discussions that have preceded it, a new era has dawned for everyone involved with franchising in the Netherlands. The number of advisers/lawyers in the field of franchising will increase considerably and it is expected to take years before the (new) case law will show how the various statutory provisions can (or even must) be translated into practice. This also means that there is a growing need for a source where all the relevant information in the field of franchising may be found.
